Texas Car Insurance

Although InsureDirect.com writes Auto Insurance Policies nationwide, I have a very special fondness in my heart for the State of Texas.

In 1981, I entered the United States Air Force. I was initially assigned to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas for my Basic Military Training. Upon completion; I spent 6 weeks at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi for Technical Training as a Personal Affairs Specialist.

Beyond sitting on the Awards & Decorations Board; two of my primary responsibilities were discussing the pros and cons of the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) to retiring Officers and Airmen and insuring the correct Beneficiary Selection for their Life Insurance Program. After I completed my technical training I was then assigned to my permanent duty station at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Before reporting for duty, I went home to pick up my car in Pennsylvania and drove it to San Antonio. Once I arrived in Texas; I immediately started to make phone calls to local auto insurance agents to obtain Texas State Car Insurance Coverage.

After making a few calls, I learned just how difficult it was to obtain Auto Insurance for my car. It seemed to me the local insurance agents had all the power. These auto insurance agents had the authority to insure or not insure anyone they wanted. They had no use for an 18-year-old with a late-model car needing both Comprehensive and Collision coverage.

Even though I had a perfect driving record and current Pennsylvania coverage, they all gave me the brush off. I promised myself if I ever had the authority to choose whom I could insure, I would represent car insurance carriers which did not discriminate against anyone. I was Honorably Discharged for the Air Force in 1984 and eight years later in 1992, that’s exactly what I did. I became a Property & Casualty Insurance Agent and started and Insurance Agency called Combined Insurance Group, Ltd.  Located in a little office in North Wales Pennsylvania, I focused on marketing auto, home and life insurance to the local North Penn Area. After marketing the local area for a year, I started advertising statewide and soon was selling auto insurance statewide. In 1995 I established one of the very first auto insurance web-sites on the world wide web.  Cheap-auto-insurance.com (CAI) was online line marketing insurance products before both Progressive and GEICO. Three years later  I aquired the valuable domain InsureDirect.com from Reliance Insurance Company. InsureDirect.com now markets  insurance products nationwide. Regardless of your age, good or bad driving record or type of car, you will qualify because we represent the 30 top Insurance Companies in the U.S.
