Post Date 3.4.12 – Aon Insurance Company has plans to move its national headquarters from its location in Illinois to England to extend and explore marketing insurance products like car insurance in europe and other world markets.  The insurance company which markets both commercial business and Personal Family insurance policies maintains nearly 6,500 employees and insurance agents in its Chicago, Illinois Headquarters. Insurance company executives feel the company move is vital in the overall strategy to grow a global Insurance Company.   The London move will give Aon a shorter reach into Asia, India, and other areas of the european union.

The move to reach into the global market ensures growth will lend strength to the insurance company’s overall projected increased success and ultimately their stock price. The company sees this move as an opportunity to further many fiscal goals and administration goals in capital.  Aon’s success in emerging markets will have the ability to invest and grow in a way crucial to the insurance carriers long-term viability.  Although the insurance company is moving to London, it will continue to be the corporate headquarters of North America.  Although there is an offer for some employees to make the move to the new overseas office, several hundred jobs will be moved to another insurance company’s downtown office.  The company feels Chicago is still vital to the company.  It still represents one of its most lucrative and long-term insurance markets. Most importantly, there will be no job losses resulting from the move to the United Kingdom.
