East Windsor Fire Injures Two Workers
Two maintenance workers suffered chemical burns while working on a residence at Pebble Road, East Windsor, New Jersey.
The injured workers were identified as Robert Harris, 44, of Manalapan, and Derek Fix, 20, of Bayville. According to the police, while Harris and Fix were performing maintenance work on an air-conditioning unit, the unit suddenly released pressurized gas burning the two workers.
Harris suffered severe burns on his arms, face and legs, while Fix had minor burns on his head and face.
Said fire incident was responded by the Capital Health Systems EMS, Hightstown Fire Company, Plainsboro Fire Company, and the East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1.
Both injured maintenance workers who are employees of Temprite Heating and Cooling were boarded on an ambulance and was taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.
The incident transpired on June 13, 2012.
